Ahmad Hardy has swiftly become the focal point of the Missouri Tigers' backfield, bringing a blend of experience and dynamic playmaking to the team.

Transferring from Louisiana-Monroe, Hardy showcased his prowess by rushing for 1,351 yards and 13 touchdowns as a freshman, leading the Sun Belt Conference in both categories.

His ability to break tackles and gain yards after contact has been particularly noteworthy.

Head coach Eli Drinkwitz has expressed enthusiasm about Hardy's integration into the team.

Redshirt sophomore Jamal Roberts is expected to play a crucial role, especially in pass protection and situational plays.

Moore described Roberts as a “glue guy,” emphasizing his reliability during critical moments.

Additionally, the backfield depth includes redshirt junior Tavorus Jones and freshman Marquise Davis.

Jones has shown improvement this fall, while Davis, standing at 6-foot and weighing 213 pounds, brings raw potential that has impressed the coaching staff.

Running backs coach Curtis Luper remarked, “This group is as physically talented as any I've coached.”
